Hudson Valley Orienteering at Taconic Center During Spring Festival
There will be orienteering instruction and competition on May 18, 2008, at the Taconic Outdoor Education Center, in Clarence Fahnestock State Park.
The Hudson Valley Orienteering Club is offering beginner instruction starting at 10:45am. There will be a course for beginners, one for advanced beginners, and several advanced courses. Starts will be from 11 to 1.
TOEC is holding its Spring Festival at this time, and there will be several other family oriented activities such as hiking, canoeing and birding during the day. For more details, and other orienteering events taking place this season, visit their website at www.hvo.us.orienteering.org To participate, youth groups must have signed parent permission forms which are available on the HVO web page.
