Public Hearings on Access to Health Care to be Held by Legislature
The Putnam County Legislature wants to hear the public's views on health care availability and their experiences with the health care system. In cooperation with the Access to Health Care Coalition, the Legislature will be holding two Public Hearings. The members of the Legislature urge all residents to voice their concerns on the accessibility of health care. Residents' input will enable the Legislature to work with federal and state representative to address this critical health care issue, especially for the uninsured and the underinsured.
The first meeting in Putnam County will be on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the Emergency Operations Center, 112 Old Route 6, Carmel, New York from 10am to noon. The second Public Hearing will be Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Putnam Valley High School Cafeteria, 146 Peekskill Hollow Road, Putnam Valley, from 10am to noon.
The public is encouraged to attend. To pre-register, please contact the Putnam County Legislature at (845) 225-8690 or online at putcoleg@ putnamcountyny.com.
