Massachusettes Minors Charged with Marijuana Possession
Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of two minor female subjects from Massachusettes after they were discovered to be in possession of marijuana in a Town, of Kent park.
Deputy Sheriff Daniel Hunsberger was on patrol in a parking lot of Ryan's Field, Towner$ Road, Kent on May 4, 2008 at 9:40pm. when he observed suspicious activity in a parked vehicle bearing outof state plates. Upon investigation, the deputy determined that two women in the vehicle were in possession of three pipes containing marijuana. The deputy arrested the women and charged them with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation. The defendants were released in their own recognizance pending a May 21, 2008 appearance in the Town of Kent Justice Court to answer the charges.
If found guilty. of the violation charges, the defendants could face fines of up to $100.
