Free Health Forum on Cancer Diagnosis and Menopause

Support Connection, Inc. and Northern Westchester Hospital present a free educational forum: "Cancer Diagnosis and Menopause" on Thursday, May 29, 2008, from 6:30 to 8:30pm at The Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center at Northern Westchester Hospital, 400 East Main Street, Mt. Kisco.

This is the sixth in a series of free public educational forums about living with breast or ovarian cancer offered since 2005 as part of a collaborative effort between Northern Westchester Hospital and Support Connection, Inc.

The evening's program will focus on managing menopause that is induced by treatment for cancer, such as chemotherapy or surgery, as well as the challenges and consequences of hormonal replacement. Speakers will be Iris Wertheim, MD, Ob-Gyn Oncology, and Sara Sadan, MD, Oncology. A question and answer period will follow with panelists including doctors from Northern Westchester Hospital and Peer Counselors from Support Connection.

There is no cost to attend but registration is required. Refreshments will be served. For more information or to register, call Support Connection at 914-962-6402.
