Yoga Program in Putnam for Women with Cancer

Support Connection, Inc., a not-for-profit organization offering free, confidential support services to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer, will be offering the following free program for women with cancer from May 19 through June 30:

"Yoga Interlude for Women with Cancer:" Support Connection presents a popular 6-week yoga series for women living with cancer. It offers participants the opportunity to attain a healthier and fuller life by harmonizing mind, body and spirit through the practice of yoga. The series will be taught by Chun Kim Levin, a Board Certified Holistic Nurse and certified Prana yoga teacher who has been teaching yoga and practicing Holistic Health since 1997.

The class will take place on six Mondays: May 19, June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23, and June 30, from 7:15- 8:30pm at the Mahopac Public Library on Route 6 in Mahopac.

The class is free to women living with cancer but space is limited and pre-registration is required. To learn more or to pre-register, call Support Connection at 914-962-6402, or 1- 800-532-4290.

Support Connection, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization based in Yorktown Heights that provides free, confidential support services to women, their families and friends affected by breast and ovarian cancer. The support provided enables women to help each other and empowers them to become their own healthcare advocates. Services include one-on-one counseling, support groups, wellness and educational programs, resource and referral information, and a toll-free Hotline.
