Health Fair Block Party in Peekskill
Free medical screenings and family entertainment are featured

On Saturday, May 17, 2008, 12 noon until 4pm, the Mid- Hudson Valley Chapter Jack & Jill of America, Inc., and Mount Olivet Baptist Church (Sister to Sister Ministry), will host Healthy Living: It's A Family Affair," a free health fair block party with something for everyone.

Health Fair participants will have access to health information for Mind, Body and Spirit. In addition, there will be fun stations and family entertainment, including hula hoop, double dutch jump roping and dancercise. Also available will be face painting, basketball hoop toss, refreshments, raffles, music and more.

In addition, fairgoers will have an opportunity to "Know Your Numbers" with free medical screenings, including blood pressure, body mass index (BMI, cholesterol and blood sugar (diabetes). And, information tables will be provided by many local health organizations. Kacy Duke, Celebrity Fitness Trainer and author of "The Show It Love Workout" seen on Run's House will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.

This event will be held at Mount Olivet Baptist Church, 11 Rev. G. Franklin Wiggins Plaza (Corner of Park Street & Wiggins Plaza), Peekskill. (Rev. Dr. Adolphus C. Lacey, Senior Pastor).

This event is presented in partnership with Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson - Peekskill, and Hudson River HealthCare, a network of fourteen community health centers providing comprehensive highquality, affordable and compassionate health care services to thousands of families throughout the Hudson Valley.
