Community Service Award to be Presented to 2008 Graduate by Philipstown Democratic Club

The Philipstown Democratic Club will present its annual Community Service Award to a 2008 Philipstown high school graduate in recognition of his/ her community volunteer service. Our volunteer youth are the essential lifeblood of community participation, support and success.

The Community Service Award is given in recognition of the effort of an area high school student, graduating in the Class of 2008, who has demonstrated a commitment to his/her community through volunteer service activities. Applicants must be a resident of Philipstown in order to be eligible for the Community Service Award. Anonymous judging will be conducted by the Award Committee.

Application forms are available at the local high school Guidance Offices. For those graduating from parochial or private high schools please contact Club President Betty Budney at 265-3508. Forms must be completed and returned to the Philipstown Democratic Club, PO Box 6, Cold Spring, NY 10516, by Friday, May 30, 2008.
