Weekly Talmud Class at Temple Beth-El
Join Rabbi Neal Loevinger for his weekly Talmud class at Temple Beth-El, 118 Grand Avenue, Poughkeepsie, at 12pm on June 3, 17 and 24, 2008. The focus is on Mishnah Brachot, the earliest Talmud on Jewish prayer, and its later commentaries. This part of the Talmud records the transition from Temple Judaism to rabbinic Judaism, and challenges us to think about questions of history, theology, liturgy, and spirituality.
