Garden of Remembrance at St Mary's for Memorial Day

The fourth year of a Garden of Remembrance on the Great Lawn of St Mary's Episcopal Church, at the corner of Chestnut and Main Streets, Cold Spring, will offer the community the opportunity to memorialize deceased veterans

Sponsored by St. Mary's Episcopal Church, with support from the Philipstown Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the American Legion, Dain's Lumber, and C & E Paint, the Garden of Remembrance will display wooden crosses and stars of David memorialized to those who risked their lives for our freedom - a custom first begun by Westminster Abbey, London, England.

If you would like to include your loved ones in the Garden of Remembrance, visit one of several local venues, submit your dedication to be written on a blank cross or Star of David, and make a $5 donation per dedication.

Participating local businesses and organizations are: C&E Paint Supplies, Foodtown, and St Mary-in-the-Highlands Church.

The Garden of Remembrance will be on the Great Lawn at St. Mary's from May 19 through May 30. All are welcome to visit and pay tribute.
