Jane G. Wiedeman

Former Cold Spring area resident Jane G. Wiedeman passed away peacefully June 29, 2008 after a long illness in Tucson, AZ where she resided for more than 25 years.

She was born September 18, 1943, the daughter of the late Robert and Jeannette (Merritt) Stebbins. She was a graduate of Haldane High School and Vassar Brothers Hospital School of Nursing, Poughkeepsie.

Jane is survived by her devoted son, Kristoph of Sierra Vista, AZ, her brother and sister in-law Frederick and Judith Stebbins of Las Vegas, NV, exhusband of 30 years, Dan Wiedeman of Tucson, AZ, aunts, Evelyn Lahey of Lake George, NY, Louise Leonard of North Baldwin, NY, Marjorie (and William) Segelken of Baldwin, NY, an uncle, William (and Margie Merritt) of Cold Spring, several cousins and best friend, Linda Weiss of Highland, NY.

Jane was an avid golfer and member of the El Rio Women's Golf Club in Tucson. She served on the Board of Directors of the Tucson Parks Foundation. Jane will always be remembered and greatly missed by her family and many friends. A memorial was held in Jane's honor Thursday, July 3 at the Desert Sunset Funeral Home in Tucson. In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made to Odyssey HealthCare of Tucson, 1730 E. River Rd., Suite 107, Tucson, AZ, 85718.
