There's Honey in Your Hives: Second in Two-part Beekeeping Workshop at Glynwood Farm

On September 6, from 9:30am to 4:30pm, Master Beekeeper Rodney Dow will conduct the second in a twopart workshop on beekeeping. Topics will be a review of Part 1, removing frames from the hive, evaluating the condition of the hive, extracting honey from the frames, and preparing the hive for winter.

You need not have attended Part 1 in order to benefit from this workshop. If you have a veil and gloves, please bring them.

The fee of $75 includes continental breakfast and lunch. For more information, contact Rodney Dow at 424-3959. To register, contact Anita Barber at 265-3338, extension 126.

The Backyard Farming Workshops series was developed by Glynwood staff to encourage anyone with a little land to produce healthy food in a sustainable fashion. Whether you want your own vegetables, honey, eggs, or chickens, we can show you how to get started. www.glynwood.org/
