Scenic Hudson Names Cold Spring Resident to Board of Directors
Scenic Hudson has named two communications professionals, a scientist, a developer, a business-expansion specialist and a professor of planning to its board of directors. These experienced experts will help Scenic Hudson create environmentally and economically vibrant Hudson Riverfront communities from the Capital Region to New York City. Rudolph S. Rudolph S. Rauch is a journalism professional with 40 years of experience. His career has taken him to Wall Street, Germany, Asia and South America. About two-thirds of his professional life was spent with Time magazine and Time, Inc., with highlights including serving as bureau chief in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Latin American bureau chief in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and international director of magazine development for Time, Inc. Mr. Rauch served as managing editor of Constitution magazine, a quarterly journal devoted to the U.S. Constitution. He also was managing director of the Metropolitan Opera Guild and editor and publisher of the group's Opera News, for which he now serves as publication director.
A graduate of Princeton University, where he earned a bachelor's degree (magna cum laude) in English literature, he also has studied at the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania. His honors include being an Edward R. Murrow Fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations. He is a member of the Council for Foreign Relations and director and secretary for the Hudson Highlands Land Trust. He resides in New York City and Cold Spring.
