NY State Convention of Universalists to Hold Annual Meeting in Poughkeespie

The New York State Convention of Universalists will hold its annual meeting at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Poughkeepsie (67 S. Randolph Ave., Poughkeepsie) on Friday and Saturday, October 10-11. A brochure and registration form is available by writing to the Fellowship or contacting Tom Hackett (HackettT@acm.org, 464- 2177).

The program will highlight a keynote address by Dr. Charlie Clements, President of the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. Attendees will be able to attend two of eight workshops on the following topics: Handling Disruptive Congregants Personal Invitation to Membership Planned Giving Planning a Meeting Stress Relief: Healing Your Body and Your Emotions The Congregational Web plus a roundtable and a dialog hosted by Dr. Clements.

A welcome reception will be held Friday evening. A light breakfast and luncheon will be served on Saturday.

The New York State Convention of Universalists was organized in 1825 to serve Universalist congregations in New York. Since the merger of the Unitarian and Universalist denominations in 1961, it continues to provide gratuities to retired Universalist ministers and grants to promote the growth of the Unitarian Universalist movement.
