Election Commissioners Announce Times and Locations for Local Registration Days
Putnam County Election Commissioners Robert J. Bennett and Anthony G. Scannapieco, Jr. have announced the dates, times and locations for the public to register to vote in time for the November 4, 2008 General Election.
Local Registration Days will be held on:
-Friday, October 10, 2008 from 5pm until 9pm.
-Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 2pm until 9pm.
"Registrations will be conducted at 6 different locations throughout the County on the above dates," said the Commissioners. "Through these extra registration opportunities, the Board of Elections is hoping to make it easy for the public to register in time for the General Election". The public may register in person at any one of the following locations:
-Town of Philipstown Town Hall, 238 Main Street, Cold Spring
-Town of Putnam Valley Town Hall, 265 Oscawana Lake Road, Putnam Valley
-Town of Carmel: Town Hall, 60 McAlpin Avenue, Mahopac
-Town of Kent: Town Hall, 25 Sybil's Crossing, Carmel
-Town of Patterson: Town Hall, 1142 Route 311, Patterson
-Town of Southeast: Town Court, 1360 Route 22, Brewster
Registration by Mail: The last day to register to be eligible to vote in the November 4, 2008 General Election is October 10, 2008. The completed registration form must be postmarked by October 10 and received at the Board of Elections by October 15.
If you were previously registered to vote in Putnam County but moved to a new residence in Putnam County since you last voted, you may complete and mail a registration form with your new address to the Board of Elections.
