A Renewed Spirit of Cooperation Exists Between The Chamber and the Merchants
Dear Editor,
The October 1 2008 edition of the PCNR referenced a recent meeting between the Mayor and representatives of the Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce and the Cold Spring Merchants Association in an article updating Village of Cold Spring affairs.
I attended this meeting at the request of the Mayor, as did my colleagues from the Chamber and the representatives of the Merchants, and want to share with your readers what a productive session I thought it was.
I'm still pretty new to the job of President of the Chamber so I don't know all the history of past collaborative efforts in Cold Spring, but I can tell your readers that a renewed spirit of cooperation does exist between the Chamber and the Merchants. The local economy is just too tough out there for us to be doing anything other than working together to improve business conditions in Cold Spring.
The all-important holiday season will soon be upon us and I can assure your readers that the Chamber will be working with the Merchants to make Cold Spring a shopping destination of choice in the coming weeks.
