Marie Chicarella

Marie Chicarella, lifelong resident of Cold Spring, died on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie.

Born in Manhattan, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Pauline (Grasso) Ciccarelli.

Miss Chicarella was a retired secretary, having worked at Texaco in Glenham, NY, as well as IBM in Poughkeepsie and Fishkill. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews; Rosemarie (Charles) Nobile of Cold Spring, Bernard Dillon of Beacon, Thomas (Meg) Dillon of Naples, FL, Daniel (Catherine) Dillon of Cold Spring, Marcy (Vincent) DiCastro of Cold Spring, Bernice (Jim) Pega of Hopewell Junction, Thomas (Adeline) Ciccarelli of Newburgh, Dennis Ciccarelli of Poughkeepsie, Joann (Kenneth) Copertino of Newburgh, Robert Ciccarelli of Seattle, WA, James (Sandy) Ciccarelli of Newburgh, Carolee (George) Simpson of Old Forge, NY, and Kenneth Miccio of California. Four sisters; Angela Miccio, Mary Dillon, Mildred Ruzich, and Josephine Ciccarelli, and one brother, Thomas Ciccarelli predeceased her.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10am on Saturday, January 24 at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair St, Cold Spring, followed by interment in Cold Spring Cemetery. Friends called at the Clinton Funeral Home, Cor. of Parrott and Pine Sts. (21 Parrott St.) Cold Spring, on Friday, January 23. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Miss Chicarella's name to the Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 14 Cedar St, Cold Spring, NY 10516.
