Robert T. O'Connor

Robert T. O'Connor, Sr., age 66, of Cold Spring, died on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Castle Point Veterans Medical Center in Beacon, NY.

Born in Bronx, NY on March 25, 1942, he was the son of the late George and Catherine (Edmonds) O'Connor.

Mr. O'Connor was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam era. He worked for Dirito Plumbing in Cold Spring for over 20 years, and later for West Point Military Academy. A member of Cold Spring Fire Company #1, he loved the rich history offered by the Hudson Valley.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathleen (Hammond) O'Connor. They were married July 2nd of 1966. Two sons, Christopher O'Connor of Vancouver, WA, and Robert O'Connor Jr. of Cold Spring, three daughters, Brenna O'Connor of State College, PA, Shawna (and Michael) Lindsey of Yorktown Hts., NY, and Tracie O'Connor of State College, PA, and one brother, Roger O'Connor of Peekskill, NY also survive him. He was predeceased by one brother, Kenneth O'Connor.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Thursday, January 29 at the Clinton Funeral Home, Cor. of Parrott and Pine Sts. (21 Parrott St.) Cold Spring, followed by interment in Cold Spring Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 28 from 5-8 pm. Donations may be made in Mr. O'Connor's name to Cold Spring Fire Co. #1, 154 Main St., Cold Spring, NY 10516.
