Scenic Highlands Parcels Added to State Parks
Hudson Highlands Land Trust plays a major role in closing year-end sales
New York State's Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) acquired two properties totaling 195 acres of forest and meadowlands in Philipstown and Cortlandt at the end of 2008, notwithstanding the dire economic situation. The Hudson Highlands Land Trust played a key role in bringing the parties together for each of the acquisitions.
