Defensive Driving Class at Mahopac Public Library
A Defensive Driving Class will be held at the Mahopac Public Library on Saturday, January 17, from 10am- 4pm. The cost for this course, provided by the Mid-Hudson Safety Association, is $35 per person. Enrollment is limited and registration with payment is required. The Defensive Driving Insurance Reduction Programs is a 6-hour course consisting of a series of films and discussions about driving attitudes and behavior. It is designed for licensed drivers, but those with permits may attend.
Completion of the course results in a 10 percent liability insurance discount to the principal operator the vehicle, as well as a maximum of four points off the driver's violation record. This program is approved by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
