Award-Winning Chef Expert in Allergy-Free Cuisine Guest at Next Celiac Support Group
The January 20 program for the monthly meeting of the Hudson Valley Celiac Support Group will feature a presentation by Chef Richard Coppedge. award-winning chef of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. Chef Coppedge, who has an impressive resume that includes the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Boston, is a professor of baking and pastry arts at the Culinary and is their expert in allergy-free and gluten-intolerance baking. He will be signing copies of his recently-published book, Gluten-Free Baking With the Culinary Institute.
The Celiac support group meets in Conference Room B at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, on the third Tuesday of each month from 7 to 8:30pm. Meetings are informational for those who have Celiac Disease (gluten intolerance) or other wheat allergies, and include medical professionals as speakers, gluten free food samples, and sharing of tips and advice on eating gluten free, in a peer support setting.
