Surprise Snowstorm Snarls School Scheduling in Putnam Valley
Putnam Valley families had more than just slippery roads to contend with Thursday, January 28. While traffic and weather reporters were advising everyone to stay off roads because of icy conditions, buses had picked up students for both the PV High School and Middle School and delivered them to their buildings, as usual. Cold Spring Lions Collect Funds for Haitian Relief
The Cold Spring Lions Club will be collecting donations for the relief efforts ongoing in Haiti through their associate Lions Club in Haiti. Adult Scholarships Available for Audubon Birding Camp
In the summer of 2010, the famed and historic Audubon Camp in Maine will be reopening its doors for four week-long residential sessions designed for adults interested in birds, bird conservation, and birdwatching. The camp is located on Hog Island, a 330-acre sprucecovered wildlife sanctuary situated in Muscongus Bay, near the towns of Damariscotta and Waldoboro. Full Story
