James Joseph Truss, II

James Joseph Truss, II, of Oxford, FL, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Mr. Truss was born in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. He moved to Oxford in 1984 from Cold Spring.

 

He was the retired owner of Trash Busters Refuse in Oxford. He loved farming and his grandchildren. While living in New York he was a volunteer fireman for Highlands.

Survivors include his sons, Jimmy “Butch”of Lady Lake, FL, Tom of Fishkill, NY, Mike (Jami)of Oxford; a daughter; Tina (Scott) Risley of Maitland, FL; sisters, Joan Joslyn of Cortlandt Manor, NY; and Joyce Sles of Wildwood, FL; 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death in 2007, by his wife of 52 years, Elsie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on March 31, 2010, at St. Vincent De- Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood, FL.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be directed to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL, 32778-9915. Online condolences may be left by visiting bankspagetheus. com. Arrangements were entrusted to Banks/Page-Theus Funerals and Cremations, Wildwood.
