The Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department (“PVVFD”) is proposing the construction of a five bay, ±27,400 s.f., fire station on ±10.3 acres of land located on Oscawana Lake Road in the R-2 Zoning District.
The Town of Putnam Valley Planning Board, as Lead Agency, has determined that the proposed action may have a significant effect on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) will be prepared.
The Putnam Valley Planning Board will be conducting a Public Scoping Session on the Draft Scoping Document submitted by the PVVFD in connection with its Site Development Plan and Major Grading Permit Application. Scoping is a process that develops a written document (scope) which outlines the topics and analyses that will be addressed in the DEIS.
The purpose of this Public Scoping Session is to obtain public comment on the Draft Scoping Document. The Public Scoping Session will be held on July 12, 2010 at 6:00PM at the Putnam Valley Town Hall, 265 Oscawana Lake Road, Putnam Valley, New York, 10579. All interested parties are invited to attend and will be heard. A copy of the Draft Scoping Document, Site Development Plan and other application materials may be inspected during normal business hours at the office of the Planning Board Clerk, Town of Putnam Valley Town Hall.
