LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the County Executive of the County of Putnam at Room 300 of the County Office Building, 40 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, New York 10512 on the 18th day of January, 2011 at  2:00 P.M. concerning:
 A LOCAL LAW
 To Amend Article 12, Section 12.01 of the Putnam County Charter Entitled “Board of Elections; Commissioners” adopted by the Putnam County Legislature on December 27, 2010, Resolution R#442.
This Local Law Amends Article 12, Section 12.01 of the Putnam County Charter, entitled “Board of  Elections, Commissioners”, by requiring that the certificate of party recommendation be filed with the Clerk of the Legislature at least thirty (30) days, but not more than sixty (60) days prior to January 1st of the year in which the Commissioners must be appointed.  
Copies of the Local Law are available at the Office of the Putnam County Legislature, Room 313, 40 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, New York 10512.
At the aforesaid time and place all persons interested in the subject matter thereof will be heard concerning same.  Comments will also be accepted via regular mail submitted to the above referenced address and via facsimile to (845) 808-1901.
This Local Law shall take effect forty-five (45) days after its adoption, subject to referendum on petition in accordance with the provisions of Section 24 of the New York State Municipal Law.
