County Scrutinizes Official Newspaper Designation

The Putnam Legislature wants to know why one official newspaper, which only covers portions of the county, charges the county nearly twice the amount for legal notices as the other two official publications. State law requires towns, counties, and other governments to publish notices in periodicals with paid circulations.
