Mary Marguerite ‘Judy’ Fitzpatrick

Mary Marguerite “Judy” Fitzpatrick, age 86, a resident of 68 Chestnut St., died on January 8 at Field Home-Holy Comforter in Cortlandt Manor after a long illness.

Judy was born on February 29, 1924, in Anamosa, Iowa, to James and Rena (Tarbox) Fitzpatrick. She spent most of her later years involved in social work and won many awards for helping the senior citizens in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Judy was a special lady who had a real heart for those she served. She fought a brave battle this last year. She loved life. Judy is survived by her daughter, Linda Gallello of Cold Spring; two grandchildren, Lori Mayo of Cold Spring, and Michael D’Agostino of Monroe; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Ed in Cedar Rapids, Tom and Donie in Sun City West, Arizona, and two sisters, Barbara Driscoll and Shirley May, also in Sun City West. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved Aunt Judy. She was predeceased by four brothers. Her remains will be buried in Cedar Rapids.
