Theresa J. Dul

Theresa J. Dul, 89 years old, formerly a 10-year resident of Fishkill, died peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck. She was born September 1, 1921 in New York City and was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Frisch Eberhardt.

Theresa was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII with the Women’s Auxiliary Corps. She was a long-time volunteer with the Red Cross and had also volunteered at the voting polls for many years.

She lived in Santurce, Puerto Rico for four years and then resided in Manchester, CT prior to moving to Fishkill. She loved to sing and while in CT, she was a member of the Sweet Adelines and while in Fishkill, she had been active in the Old Post Mall Clubs and had been a communicant of St. Mary, Mother of the Church.

Theresa was married to Mieczyslaw “Mike” Dul, who predeceased her on December 14, 2006. Theresa is survived by her loving sons, Mitch Dul and his wife, Amy, of Cold Spring and Tony Manley and his wife, Betty, of Kingston; four beloved grandchildren, Tess and Henry Dul and T.J. and William Manley; and two sisters, Anna and Kay.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary and Rose and two brothers, Louis and Francis.

Calling hours were held on Sunday, January 9 at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main St., Fishkill, with funeral services following at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the discretion of the family.
