It’s Spring in Cold Spring

Spend a memorable May 14 in Cold Spring-on-Hudson

“It’s Spring in Cold Spring!”

Go for a hike, take a stroll, enjoy shopping, take in the great Hudson River views, and stop for a bite to eat along the streets of the Village of Cold Spring. More than 40 merchants and restaurants will be offering special sales and discounts and don’t miss your chance to win a gift basket (on display at 103 Main Street) and a $250 overnight stay at the Hudson House River Inn (2 Main Street).

“It’s Spring in Cold Spring” runs from 10am to 6pm and is rain or shine. Register to win prizes all along Main Street at participating shops and restaurants and don’t miss Cold Spring’s own Kacey Morabito Grean, from WHUD/100.7 FM radio, broadcasting live and giving away prizes at 1 Chestnut Street, corner of Routes 9D and Route 301.

Renowned for its 19th-century history and charm, Cold Spring makes a great destination for a day trip or a weekend visit. The entire Village is steps from Metro-North and is easy driving distance from the entire Hudson Valley, Western Connecticut and Northern New Jersey. “It’s Spring in Cold Spring” is a collaboration of business owners to promote Cold Spring’s attractions to first-time visitors, local residents, and long-time fans of the Village.

“I came up here on a day trip from New York City and I fell in love with Cold Spring. I moved here three weeks later and opened up a shop,” said Caryn Cannova, owner of Payning by Caryn and organizer of the “It’s Spring in Cold Spring” event. “Eleven years later, I’m still here and there’s so much to love about this quaint, little village. Come visit with us and enjoy a memorable day as our guests.”

Visit Cold Spring during this event and throughout the year for a number of festive and seasonal events, including Free Summer Sunset Music Series (Sundays from July 3-Sept. 4), Cold Spring Antiques Show, (July 10, 2011), Annual Harvest Festival (October 1, 2011), and Cold Spring by Candlelight (Dec. 3).
