Walter O’Dell, 66, of Lake Ariel, PA, died Friday morning in North East Regional Hospice of Scranton, PA, following an illness. His wife is the former Elaine E. Noble. They were married on October 6, 1973.
Born on October 23, 1944 in Cold Spring, he was the son of the late Walter and Violet Lounsbury O’Dell. Walter worked as a private contractor at Loral Satellite, PPL, and RR Satellite before his illness.
The family would like to thank the staff at Regional Hospital of Scranton, NEPA Home Health & Hospice, and his physicians. Thank you also to Nancy Terwilliga for her loving care during his illness.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean O’Dell of Honesdale, and Rebecca O’Dell of Lake Ariel; two brothers, John O’Dell of Beacon, and Robert O’Dell of New York City; and three sisters, Donna Lane of New York, Darlene O’Dell of New Jersey, and Betty O’Dell of Georgia. Funeral services and interment will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in Walter’s name may be made to a local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
