HALDANE BOYS SOCCER TEAM FALLS IN SECTIONAL SEMIS 1-0
The Haldane boys soccer team's season came to end Thursday with a 1-0 sectional loss to Solomon Schechter. The match was originally scheduled to be played as a home game, but was moved to Arlington High School when the pitch at St. Basil's was rendered unplayable as a result of last weekend's snow storm.

Coach Ahmed Dwidar's team could not repeat the magical run of last year that saw the Blue Devils advance to the state's quarterfinal round. The Lions produced the matches' lone tally in the 55th minute on a low cross that was rammed past Haldane's defenseless keeper, Gavin Brower. Schechter's defense took over from there, shutting down the Blue Devil offense with stifling back line play that kept Haldane' strikers from producing any dangerous chances.
