HALDANE TOPS TUCKAHOE 25-14 TO CLAIM SECTIONAL CROWN

The Haldane Blue Devils surrendered two early touchdowns, but rattled off the game's last 25 points to claim the Section1 Class D title.  Bryant Dain rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns to pace the Blue Devil offense that simply wore down the Tigers as the game progressed.

The defense played a key role in the victory as George Fibble's second half goal line interception thwarted a Tuckahoe scoring drive and Peter Allen's 22-yard interception return for a touchdown gave the Blue Devils their first lead of the day, 19-14 late in the third quarter.

The Blue Devils advance to the state regional round, and will take on Chester (Section 9) on Friday at 5pm at Mahopac High School.
