Suzanne Lisotta

Suzanne Lisotta, a resident of Beacon, Garrison and Cold Spring, entered heaven on January 7, 2012. She was 73 and had battled cancer for 16 months.

Born in Beacon on October 28, 1938, Suzanne was the daughter of Edward Bradley and Mary Monaghan Bradley. She married Larry Lisotta on June 30, 1957. She owned and operated Suzanne’s Beauty Salon on Main St. in Beacon and in Fishkill, NY, until she retired in 2005.

In her retirement, she loved to travel and go adventuring with Larry and her friends on trips to Las Vegas and the Caribbean. Suzanne, so unpretentious, had a warm and friendly personality, making friends wherever she went.

Suzanne was devoted to her family and is survived by her loving husband and companion of 54 years, Larry Lisotta. Also cherishing her memory are her sons Marcellus from Tempe, Arizona, and Damian from Garrison, NY; Grandchildren Jackson and Kate Lisotta; her sister Kathleen (Kay) Joyner from Buffalo; her brother Joseph Bradley in Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her eldest son Angelus; her brothers Edward, John, and Thomas Bradley; her sisters Mary DeGelarmo, Agnes Supple, and Margaret Bradley.

The family will receive their friends on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. Her final wishes will be granted; she will be cremated and placed with her family.

A Mass will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon.
