Lawrence J. Turner

Lawrence J. Turner, age 66, a lifelong resident of Cold Spring, died on Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor.

Born August 29, 1945 in Cold Spring, he was the son of the late Frederick and Grace (Lent) Turner. He was married in 1974 to Dorothy (Smith) Turner in Cold Spring.

Mr. Turner was a Marketing Consultant for I.B.M.- Poughkeepsie, retiring in 2001. He served as a Village of Cold Spring Trustee for many years, was a member of St. Rocco’s Society in Beacon, a member of Beacon Lodge # 1492 B.P.O. Elks, active in Pop Warner football and a parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church, in Cold Spring.

Survivors include his wife at the home address; two daughters, Megan Turner of Newburgh and Brittney Turner of Cold Spring; and one sister, Dretha Lancaster of Garrison. Also surviving is the apple of his eye, his beloved granddaughter Mikyla Morgan.
