For the Kids: Winter Gala to Benefit Haldane

The Haldane School Foundation is pleased to invite the community to the Winter Gala being held at the Highlands Country Club in Garrison, on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Attendees will enjoy a night of food, cocktails and a live auction to raise money to benefit Haldane students.

The foundation’s annual winter event is the most important fundraiser for the Haldane School Foundation with last year’s gala raising more than $30,000 for education programs and enhancements for the Haldane district.

“Last year’s success can be attributed to the wonderful generosity of the community attendees and the fun and competitive nature of the live auction format,” said Haldane School Foundation Vice President Jennifer Marrinan. “This year’s event at The Highlands is going to be a great night out for all—delicious food and drinks, a beautiful setting and a chance to again show ongoing support for the quality of education in our community.”

Once again, the Haldane School Foundation will have a live auctioneer on hand at the Winter Gala to auction off the wonderful and unique items donated by community supporters.

Some of this year’s items include a “Meet the Penguins Experience” at the Mystic Aquarium, Yankees tickets, an Yves Saint Laurent handbag, a backstage tour at “Spider- Man: Turn Off the Dark” on Broadway, tickets to a NYC Fashion Week fashion show, Italian Grandma (Nonna) for a day, a children’s birthday party, a Caroline Kaye photo session, a Glynwood Farm Share, an Indian Dinner, original artwork and a Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival “Romantic Date Night” with Romeo & Juliet tickets and a picnic for two.

Attire for the Winter Gala is festive and tickets, at $135 per person, are available for purchase via PayPal at haldaneschoolfoundation.org or by contacting Tom Casey at tom.casey@haldaneschoolfoundation.org or 914-552-3874.
