Cold Spring and Beacon Galleries Swap Space

Marina Gallery of Cold Spring and bau Gallery of Beacon are swapping spaces for the months of March and April. Both galleries have been contributing for a number of years to the vitality of the two historic river towns by exhibiting high quality contemporary art. This gallery-swap is intended to give an even broader audience access to the artists’ work.

The members of Marina Gallery will be displaying their works in “Marina @ bau” at bau Gallery from March 10th to April 8th. The eight artists from bau Gallery will be presenting “bau Spring” at Marina Gallery from March 2nd to April 1st.

Work exhibited will include paintings, watercolors, collage, sculpture, photography and wood block prints.

Artist/exhibitor Davd Provan told the PCN&R, “I think this trade of galleries is interesting because, in my thirty years of making and exhibiting art, I’ve never encountered such a bold idea as two groups of artists exchanging exhibitions to broaden their audiences.

“We’re hoping this adventure will result in each group exposing their work to a new viewing and collecting clientele.”
