Iva Marie Howell

Iva Marie Howell, age 93, of Cold Spring, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor, NY.

Born in Cortlandt Manor, NY she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Maude (Daniels) Zeliph. Mrs. Howell a 75 year area resident raised her family of five children in Cold Spring with her late husband Howard Fielding Howell who predeceased her in 1992. A member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in the Highlands Cold Spring, NY, she will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Survivors include her children Howard F. Howell, Jr. of Unionville, VA, Lawrence B. Howell of Mexico, NY, Marianne (Patrick) Trimble, Jane (George) Baltich all of Cold Spring, NY, Gayle (Thomas) Quackenbush of Glenham, NY; sisters Laura Richards of Continental Village, NY, Barbara Zoll of Illinois and Florence Croft of Buchanan, NY. Thirteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren also survive. Predeceasing her where her siblings Winifred Clothier, Elizabeth Lifrieri, Jeanette Costa, Elsie Santucci, Gertrude Croft, Beatrice Holmes and Alfred Zeliph.

Visitation took place at the Clinton Funeral Home Corner of Parrott & Pine Streets Cold Spring, NY. Funeral services and interment in Cold Spring Cemetery where private.

Donations may be made to Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps. 14 Cedar Street Cold Spring, NY 10516.
