PUBLIC NOTICE: is hereby given for separate sealed bids for: Proposed Athletic Field Improvements at Haldane High School 9D Fields. Bids will be received by the School District, on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. prevailing time in the Administrative Office, 15 Craigside Drive, Cold Spring, New York, 10516, and at said time and place publicly opened and read aloud. The Contract Documents may be examined at Administrative Office, 15 Craigside Drive, Cold Spring, New York, 10516, (845)265-9254 between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday beginning on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 and may be obtained upon a deposit of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars for each complete set. Checks for deposit shall be made payable to the DISTRICT, HALDANE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, and may be uncertified. Bidder’s deposit shall be refunded in full upon the return of one set of the bid documents in good condition within thirty (30) days of the contract award or rejection of the bid of such bidder. Partial refunds, in an amount equal to the full amount of the deposit for one set per unsuccessful bidder or non-bidder less the actual cost of reproduction of the plans and specifications shall be made for the return of all copies of the plans and specifications in good condition with in thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or the proposals will be rejected within 45 days of the date of opening proposals. Bids shall be subject, however, to the discretionary right reserved by the School District to waive any informalities in, accept or reject any alternatives, reject any proposals and to advertise for new proposals, if in its opinion the best interest of the School District will thereby be promoted. Each bidder may not withdraw his bid within 45 days after the formal opening thereof. A bidder may withdraw his bid only in writing and prior to the bid opening date. Dated: May 2, 2012

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the County Executive of the County of Putnam at Room 300 of the County Office Building, 40 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, New York 10512 on the 23 day of May, 2012 at 4:30 in the afternoon, and again at 6:30 in the evening concerning:
A LOCAL LAW
To Amend Article 7, Section 7.04 of the Putnam County Charter Entitled “Annual Operating Budget.”                                      
 adopted by the Putnam County Legislature on May 1, 2012, Resolution R#118
This Local Law Amends Section 7.04 of the Putnam County Charter by changing the submission and completion dates set forth in the budget process, by changing the date which the tentative budget is to be submitted to the Legislature to on or before October 1st of each year, by changing the date by which the Legislature is required to make changes to on or before October 28th of each year, by changing the date by which the tentative budget is adopted if the Legislature fails to act to on or before November 1st of each year, and by changing the date by which the County Executive shall veto any changes made by the Legislature to on or before November 8th of each year, and by which the Legislature shall convene to reconsider each item vetoed by the County Executive to on or before November 15th of each year.
Copies of the Local Law are available at the Office of the Putnam County Legislature, Room 313, 40 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, New York 10512.
At the aforesaid time and place all persons interested in the subject matter thereof will be heard concerning same. Comments will also be accepted via regular mail submitted to the above referenced address, electronic mail to maryellen.odell@putnamcountyny.gov, and facsimile to (845)808-1901.
 This Local Law shall take effect forty-five (45) days after its adoption, subject to referendum on petition in accordance with the provisions of Section 24 of the New York State Municipal Home Rule Law, whichever occurs last.
