Thomas Peter Colvin

Thomas Peter Colvin, former resident of Peekskill and Cold Spring, NY, died May 6th while residing in Whitehall, NY.

Born on April 29, 1923, Thomas was the elder son of the Cimo founding family of Fort Edward, NY.

During his life Mr Colvin was an avid gardener, bowler and genuine enthusiast of all things military and community oriented. He was an active member of the American Legion, the Elks and his beloved Knights of Columbus (Council 462, Father Damien) of which he was a 4th degree Color Guard.

While stationed at West Point, Thomas met and married the love of his life, Anna, in 1944, who predeceased him in 1989.

Mr. Colvin loved living in Cold Spring. He enjoyed the simple things about life here and embraced the beauty and tranquility while living with his daughter, Cheryl Personick and son-in-law Jeffrey Shad. He is also survived by two sons, Thomas (Cathy) Colvin of Las Vegas, Nev.; Frank Colvin of Whitehall, N.Y.; and a daughter, Lisa Colvin of Fairfield, Ct., as well as 10 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren.

A memorial mass was held at Assumption Church on May 11. May he rest in Peace. Amen.
