Lakeland Budget Passes Handily

$157 million spending package approved by strong margin

The following includes the official numbers after the counting of absentee ballots.

The Lakeland Central School District's proposed 2012-2013 budget was approved on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. These are the official results including absentee ballots. (Editor's note: These numbers differ slightly from results reported Tuesday night.)

Budget: YES-1,056; NO-381.

The Bus Purchase Proposition was approved by YES-1003; NO-469.

James B. Carroll, Jr. (1208 votes), Carol Ann Dobson (1205 votes), and Brian Hugick (1110 votes) were re-elected to three-year terms on the school board. Carroll, Dobson and Hugick are incumbent trustees. Candidate Robert Rodriguez received (452 votes).

The proposed budget totals $157,235,514
