Michael Von Tiesenhausen

Visitation Thursday at Clinton; Services Friday in Nanuet


Michael Von Tiesenhausen, age 77, of Cold Spring, NY, died on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.

Born in Odessa, Russia on August 28, 1934 he was the son of the late Mark Pankoff and Anna Von Tiesenhausen and his adoptive grandfather the late Michael Von Tiesenhausen. He was the beloved husband for 43 years of Susanne L. (Caspar) Von Tiesenhausen.
 
Mr. Von Tiesenhausen was a retired Financial Analyst with American Airlines in Dallas, Tex. An Army Veteran, he served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1958 to 1960. He received his Master’s degree in geophysics and worked for Mobil Oil Co. in New York City before choosing his employment with American Airlines.    
 
Survivors in addition to his wife include one sister Helen (Rosario) Virecci-Fana of McDonough, NY; five nieces and nephew Maryann Shea, Elyzabeth Rader, Constantine Virecci-Fana, Catharyn Virecci-Fana and Nicole Clanget. Eight grand nieces and nephews and two great grand nephews also survive.
 
A Funeral Service will be offered at 1 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Russian Orthodox Convent Novo-Diveevo 100 Smith Road Nanuet, NY 10954. Burial in the Convent cemetery will follow.
 
The family will receive their friends at the Clinton Funeral Home Corner of Parrott and Pine Streets (21 Parrott Street) Cold Spring, NY 10516 on Thursday, June 14th from 4 to 6:30 p.m. 
 
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Clinton Funeral Home Cold Spring, NY.
