Pumpkin Fest to be Held in Beacon Oct. 14

This celebration will take place at Riverfront Park in Beacon (on the riverside of the Metro-North Station), rain/or shine on Sunday, Oct 14th, from 12pm to 5pm. Hudson Valley pumpkins all sizes and shapes, freshly baked pumpkin pie, cider, and other fall treats will be sold.

The Pumpkin Festival has moved to the larger venue at Riverfront Park. Featured will be a variety of talented performers. Andy Revkin, Sharleen Leahey, Cosby Gibson, April Mae & the June Bugs, Rick Nestle, The Tres Amigos and others. The children’s stage will include The Rivertown Kids, Karen Brooks, Melissa Orquest, Sarah Underhill and the amazing Bindlestick Bill who will dazzle everyone with his juggling and magic show. Pete Seeger will enchant all with his famous stories.

The children’s area will have free activities. During the Festival volunteer crews and Captains will be organizing free public sailing aboard the ferry sloop Woody Guthrie. Guests can sign up at Beacon Sloop Club Booth during the festival. Come to Riverfront Park for a magical day along the Hudson River. The Beacon Sloop Club is an all volunteer, nonprofit organization.
