At this past Thanksgiving feast, our lovely hostess made delicious cranberry relish with berries that she grew right here in Garrison. What a pleasant surprise. I thought cranberries required a big old bog, boats and special cranberry rakes. Nope. She has grown hers for years in a sandy patch amended with peat moss.
