Christopher David Hustis

Christopher David Hustis, age 22, of Nelsonville, NY died on Saturday, February 23, 2013. Born in North Tarrytown, NY on April 3, 1990, he is the son of Pamela A. (Donato) and David L. Hustis.

Christopher, a 2008 graduate of New York Military Academy was active in sports; soccer, basketball and especially excelling in baseball where he earned the Batting Title as a Junior and the Pitching Title as a Senior during their championship year.  He was a member of the Cold Spring United Methodist Church, where he served as an Acolyte. He had been working side by side with his father in the family business, Patriot Motor Fuels, Inc., learning and training to earn his Commercial Driver License and eventual succession of the business.

Christopher’s fun loving, humorous spirit will live on in the memories of his family and his many, many friends.  He possessed an energetic personality. He not only lit up the room with his huge smile, but he also made it his goal to put a smile on everyone’s face.  Christopher was a fiercely faithful and loyal friend.  He would go out of his way to help anyone he knew.  He inspired others with his pure, good hearted zest for life.  His overwhelming number of friends was enough for 2 lifetimes, and in his short time on this earth, he surely lived life to the fullest, with love in his heart and a smile on his face. Christopher will be deeply missed, but his stamp on this world will remain in the hearts of his loved ones for all eternity.

In addition to his parents, David and Pamela Hustis, of Nelsonville, NY, he is survived by one sister, Alyssa Noel Hustis. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Predeceasing him were his grandparents Sophie M. and Nicholas R. Donato, Jr. and Harriet (Lyons) and Milton T. Hustis, Jr.
