Ida R. Contaldi, age 100

Ida R. Contaldi, age 100, of Cold Spring, died on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Skyview Nursing & Rehabilitation in Croton-on-Hudson. Born in New York City, on March 2, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Andrea and Augustina (Marra) Russo. Her husband, Peter Contaldi, predeceased her in 1955.

Mrs. Contaldi was a retired Seamstress with the ILGWU Local # 143 in New York City. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church, and a member of the Philipstown Senior Citizens.

Survivors include her daughter Lucille I. (James) Wornell of Cold Spring and one son Carl P. (Annina) Contaldi of Wurtsboro; and three grandchildren, Kimberly Paterson-Smith, Tara Lambro and Michael Contaldi. Four great grandchildren Grace, Faith, James and Christina also survive. Predeceasing her was a grandson, William Paterson, in 1979.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair St., Cold Spring. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in New Rochelle.

Friends may call at the Clinton Funeral Home, Corner of Parrott and Pine Sts. (21 Parrott St.) Cold Spring, NY 10516, on Tuesday, June 4th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to St. John’s Lutheran Memorial Garden, 55 Wilber Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY 12603

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Clinton Funeral Home Cold Spring.
