Rachel Berry

Rachel Berry, 87, of Peekskill, died in her sleep Sunday May 26.

She was born in 1926 in London, England, to the late Abraham and Yissua Yadgaroff.

Rachel attended Parsons School of Design in Manhattan, where her love of the fine arts was nurtured. After raising a family she went back into real estate to win many awards and sustain her love of travel. She retired at the age of 86.

She adored meeting new people and was known for her natural ability to make friends at home and around the world. She is survived by countless loving relatives and friends, her adopted son Frank Pagan, and her children: Michael, Claire, Alyson, Vivian and favorite grand-dog, Luna.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in her name to the Desmond Fish Library (472 Route 403 Garrison, NY 10524), where the staff generously kept up with her voracious appetite for a good read.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 30, 5 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights.
