Maintenance Park & Recreation Aide 6 (40 hours/ week: Friday through Tuesday, including holidays) year-round $13.28 per hour with 6 month probation period. Perform basic maintenance, cleaning and repair of exhibit and visitor facilities and grounds of Trailside Museums and Zoo of Bear Mountain State Park. Duties include maintaining the grounds using basic equipment including line trimmers, mowers, snowplow/ salter; daily cleaning of exhibit buildings and visitor facilities; upkeep including painting, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other repairs. S/ he will also assist with aspects of facility operations including daily opening of the buildings, crowd control during the end of day closing procedures, and with zookeeping and events. Ideal candidate will be an energetic, hard-working, personable, and skilled maintenance person with at least two years of experience in building and grounds maintenance, including use and maintenance of equipment. Successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, ability to handle multiple projects and work well independently or with others and be courteous with the public. Museum Volunters Wanted at the Putnam History Museum. This is a great opportunity to learn about local history and to share your passion with the community and visitors of Cold Spring. PHM offers exciting programming revolving around our distinct collection of 19th and 20th century art and historical artifacts.
