BLOOD DRIVE

Friday, August 2, 2013

2:00-8:00pm

At the North Highlands Firehouse

504 Fishkill Rd., Cold Spring

Join us in giving blood to honor a very special member of our Community... Dan Dillon.

Born and raised in Cold Spring, Dan Dillon has a great reputation of service and leadership in the community. A longtime supporter of the Philipstown Food Pantry, Dan picks up food items from local supermarkets to be distributed to the poor and hungry in our area. Through his membership at Our Lady of Loretto's Knights of Columbus (48 years), he has been a Philipstown Food Pantry volunteer for the last 10 years. He has also been in charge of the K of C Free Throw (38 years), Master of Ceremonies for the annual Tree Lighting ceremony (12 years), and co-chair of the K of C Annual Easter Egg hunt (10 years). He has coached Little League (10 years), basketball (8 years) and played an active role in the restoration of the Cold Spring Dock area.

Dan has also been a key volunteer with the Philipstown Community Blood Drives for over 9 years. He managed to fit all this in even though he worked for IBM from 1965 to 2005, over 40 years of service.

Now retired, he is still giving his time to all the above organizations. When he can find a week or two for himself he can be found travelling all over the country as a valued member of the Senior Softball Syracuse Cyclones over 65 Tournament Team. The Philipstown Community Blood Drive is proud to honor Dan.

lt is our hope that you will make a point of showing your support for Dan and turn out next month to help save lives.

There is still no substitute for human blood. Only you can save a life!
