Shirley Ann Engelbride
Born May 13, 1935, Shirley was the daughter of the late Philip A. and Helen R. (Cullen) Dailey. She grew up in Croton-on-Hudson and married her high school sweetheart, Edward F. Engelbride on July 24, 1955.
Shirley worked at Babcock and Wilcox Law Firm in New York City, General Precision Laboratory in Pleasantville, the former Julia L. Butterfield Hospital, and worked as a sales associate for Viscount Liquors. She was a member of Zeta Eta Sorority and was a founding member and president of the Ladies Auxiliary, North Highlands Engine Co. 1.
She is survived by her husband, children Shirley Ann (Engelbride) and Raymond Culotta of Cold Spring; Edward P. and Mary Beth Engelbride of Delmar, NY; and five grandchildren: Kira Culotta and her husband Kevin Semple, and Aaron Culotta of Cold Spring, and Ned, Patrick, and Maeve Engelbride of Delmar. She was predeceased by one brother, Philip A. Dailey Jr. and one sister, Helen Caterino.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at Clinton Funeral Home, 21 Parrott Street, Cold Spring, NY 10516 on Thursday, August 1, 2013 between the hours of 5 pm and 8 pm. A mass of Christian burial and celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013, at 10 am, at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair Street, Cold Spring, NY 10516.
