The Putnam County News and Recorder
is the source for news and information of the Philipstown
area. The PCN&R is 138 years old, published in hard copy every Wednesday, and
circulated throughout Putnam County, NY.
We actively seek information from both communities of local interest. Weddings, births, milestones, are all welcome for consideration. We encourage our readers to share with us their opinions in the printed newspaper which can be e-mailed to us (editor@pcnr.com).
The PCN&R is the legal paper of and prints LEGAL NOTICES for: Putnam County, The Town of Philipstown, Village of Cold Spring, Village of Nelsonville, the Haldane Union Free School District and the Garrison Union Free School District.
We also have a large CLASSISFIED SECTION in the printed paper that is mirrored here on the web site. Classifieds may be e-mailed to editor@pcnr.com, however, payment must be made before publication. Classifieds are $6.25 for 5 lines minimum. (approx. 28 characters per line), $1.25 per line after 5. Long term billing arrangements can be made for an additional fee.
Rates for display ads are available upon request.
Deadline for printed press releases, advertisements and
classifieds is Monday at noon for Wednesday publication.
The site is updated on an as-needed basis with a minimum
update weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.
